COACHING AND MENTORING

Coaching helps clients to gain greater self-awareness, improved self-management skills and increased self-efficacy, so that they can develop their own goals and solutions. This is a collaborative therapy which focuses on supporting clients in making changes and developing strengths.

Coaching incorporates a number of therapeutic approaches such as person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapy. The key strategies are to help our clients learn techniques that can be continued after the session in order to keep growing afterwards. The theory is based on asking rather than telling, on provoking thought rather than giving directions and on holding a person accountable for his or her goals. Coaching and mentoring strategies ensure success in all areas of your personal and professional life and are effective for the following:

  • Solutions to specific work-related issues

  • Greater ownership and responsibility

  • Development of self-awareness
