PERSON CENTERED THERAPY

Through our person-centred approach, we help clients to understand the past experiences that have impacted the way they feel about themselves. We also help to understand abilities and strategies to reconnect clients with their inner values and sense of self-worth.

A person-centred counsellor is not an expert; rather the client is seen as an expert and the counsellor encourages the client to explore and understand themselves and their troubles. Our therapy is offered in a neutral and comfortable setting, where clients can feel at ease, authentic and open to learning about themselves.

EMPATHY PERSON CENTERED THERAPY APPROACH

Through our person-centred approach, we help clients to identify factors that can affect a person’s ability to flourish, including low self-esteem, a lack of self-reliance and resistance to new experiences. This empathetic and humanistic approach helps clients to:

  • Achieve better self-understanding and awareness

  • Release feelings of defensiveness, insecurity and guilt

  • Find closer agreement between and idealised self and actual self

  • Develop healthier relationships
